An administrator of an estate is someone who is appointed by the Court to administer the estate of the deceased.

As a Court appointed Administrator, our services include the following:

Applying for Probate and a Grant of Administration

Gathering information on the assets of the estate and registering assets in the estate name as necessary;

Managing estate assets and making arrangements to insure if required;

Publishing advertisements for creditors of the estate;

Filing tax returns and applying for income tax clearance certificates;

Distributing specifically-identified items to named beneficiaries;

Selling estate assets;

Assisting with resolving disputes amongst beneficiaries and, as necessary, arrange for a mediation or applying to Court for directions;

Distributing funds to beneficiaries;

Dealing with litigation against the estate; and

Making a final distribution of funds to the named beneficiaries after obtaining clearance certificates from Canada Revenue Agency.
